How will the classes take place?
All coaching sessions will be held online via Zoom video calls. I am based out of Los Angleles and hope to reach a wide range of students from all different parts of the country through this unique learning platform.
How do you accept payments?
I have found the easiest way to transfer payments is through Venmo, but I can make different arrangements on a case by case basis.
Is this an intensive coaching session comparable to large acting studios?
The short answer is no. I am in no way trying to compete with large acting studios. I have taken lessons from some of the largest studios and names in the nation when it comes to acting, singing, improvastion, and voice over. My goal for these sessions is to share my passion for performing with the generations after me and hopefully inspire them to want to further their performance education for years to come. I have spent a lot of time and money studying all about performing, and I want to share that knowledge with these students.
Will you play the piano with my student singing?
While I do have a great list of skills, piano playing is not on that list of skills I posses. So for students interested in the Musical Theatre track, I ask that they play a instrumental (or karaoke track from YouTube). If a backing track is not availble for a specific song and the student feels comfortable, they are welcome to sing without a track or acapella.
Why the specific age range of 9-14 years?
In my personal experience, I found that after I turned 14 I started to become very "serious" about my craft and, sadly, the fun part of performing took the backseat. My goal is to capture that energy I had when performing a song I loved to sing before I started worrying if I was good enough to make it in the industry. Students in this age range I have experienced do things because they really want to do them, without fear of judgement from their peers. If your student is out of this age bracket but you are still interested in coaching, please email me and I would be happy to discuss this further.
